GIVING PROPS DAY! MATT - R n B de RUE
Today I'm just giving mad props to some forgotten soldiers in my army. And since I'm kinda french I have to start with MATT HOUSTON this song rocked Nigeria in 1999, I wonder whether Matt knew this. Curiously the title mean The RnB street? Lol, thats my translation of course lesson 1 in french is u shd never convert like that but whoze checkin?lol! (Aldoe I think its RnB 2 rue which makes more sense coz it would mean taking RnB to the streets), at least that's what my copy says but then again its pirated(sawry Matt)

TANTO METRO AND DEVONTE
WHO? U know these guys you just dont know there names,lol! Jamaican duo of Dj Tanto Metro and Vocalist Devonte (who curiously sounds like Wanye WONDER). These guys are the original D in the dance hall. They brot us the smash hit EVERYONE FALLS IN LOVE & my personal favorite GIVE IT TO HER, go on hit the link and tell me you haven't bumped to this... its kinda old from 2001 but still gets you up, check out their myspace if u wanna know more, I just felt like givin them props 2day :)

Ok ok, this wasn't the plan but honest this is the last flash back for the month! It was 1993 and a Canadian boy gave an island( ok ok, reggage) spin to a song that would rock house parties and clubs - INFORMER. Snow unofficial paved the way for alot of musician like Sean Paul and Collie Buddz even doe u dont ever hear anyone giving him props and hez become one hit wonder. His album was called 12inches of Snow and almost all the singles were slammin, Lady with the red dress, Girl Ive been hurt? His last release was in 2004 but err Ive forgotten what it was,lol!C'mon now Snow was the ish, Give it up for SNOW!

Yesterday I took a trip down memory lane, Imma take you with me! Im not gonna embed the video's but if u wanna listen, hit the link and it'll take u there aiight?
1. Billie Lawrence- C'mon, loved this joint. From the OST of SET IT OFF ft MC Lyte its a great remba wen song. There was this debate bout weda Billie was white or mixed, I couldnt care less but c'mon shez obviously white in the video whaddya think?
2.Aaron Neville- The Rain Song ok this was always always on my playlist, I dont know why! But after awhile I fell in love with Aaron, its really old school but the guy sings to your soul and generally makes you believe in HAPPY LOVE.
3.Janet Jackson- LOVE WILL NEVER DO rrrr how tasty is the fit black guy, me like him ok i have to quit being a girl on this post, I love this song. I play it wheneva Im in love, yup big cheesefest here!lol! Great song when JJ was JJ!
4.Christopher Wallace aka B.I.G.- Juicy one of the only 3 songs on my phone, tale about humble beginning and live large, an old time fav. RIP hommie and Oh yeah VIOLENCE KILLS FOOLS, STOP BLACK ON BLACK VIOLENCE, its all good baby babe!
5.Davina- So Good, ooooooh yeah now this here is a song, sister had fugged up style but she sure could sing, another 'Im in love song', from the OST of Hoodlum remeba sexy Lawerence Fishburne umm. She didnt cut it in music and kinda fizzled out but made a remix with Rwakweon. This song make me cry,damn im being a girl again! ok this isnt the video i linked you too but just the song with her pix at the background.

6.Usher- Think of you, I was 13 when I first heard this song and Usher was 14? I tot he wud grow as tall as I did, sniff sniff we lost him in the race. I remeba listening to dis on the trips between Glover and Keffi str to holiday school everyday, 1993/4 was a good year. Usher had been handed over to Diddy by his moms and they had this kid singing about sex and shit, LA REID rescued his purity,lol! but truly he saw more he shd have living with Diddy at 14, It musta have been fun!
7.Toni Thompson (RIP)- Love like that awwh im being a girl again! My first crush on some random dude, I listened to this over and over! Toni useta be in HI FIVE then broke out as a solo artist, unfortunately the era for cutesy died when Tevin went GAY, yea I said it, quote me!lol! Tevin u broke many hearts! Tony died last June at the age of 31 from a freon overdose(gas huffing) PEOPLE DRUGS KILL!
8.HI FIVE- JUST CANT HANDLE IT this is when I official fell in love with music and failed the 2nd form or J.S.S 2 as its called in Nigeria, coz I ustea right music lyric instead of the notes in Class. My moms flipped when she saw 'just cant handle it' on my math notes, tried to explain it was a song ma not the math(but clearly I couldnt handle the math either,lol)
9.Go West- King Of Wishful Thinking, from OST Pretty woman! Kant get over this song... I broke up with some1 once for no reason and this song haunted me,lol! Imagine that!
10. Darren Hayes- Crush, Ok i cant explain why I like this song esp as its particularly senseless!He was part of Savage Garden and went solo...lol, they should stayed togeda truly,madly and deeply! Hez clearly singing some rubbish about 1980 but who cares? great beat! and it does take me back to the 80's!
11. Joe- Good girls, i have a love/hate relationship with this song, I was very single when It was released so I was like HEY! but I occasionally like to hear the beginning and then switch it off. Joe walk past me oneday and I dint scream or nuffink I just kept thinking OMG he looks so normal! He was worried im sure!I was too when I got home,lol!

The single is called 'ride it' and it really good, I wish I had a mic and was on the radio so I'd use it for a bed,rilly good. Never one to ignore his roots the vibe is definitely Asian with a twist! For some who hates Bhangra this song has restored my faith in Asian pop!
The video was shoot in Movida, so guess who will never have to pay to get in?

2nite is the brits! nominations! Yay! Its appropriately held in Camden.
I love British music and tonite the very best of the year get honored by beeing nominated, The Kaiser Chief's, new comers Adele and Kate Bush are up! The Hossiers! Goodbye Mr.A! I loove that tune, Mika, Bat for Lashes! Lily big mouth Allen, Amy Wino Winehouse! The Kooks, David Jordan, Remi Nicole! OMG I can go on and on, 2nite is about celebrating the best of British music, I be back tomorrow with the nominations maybe, u know the Child is lazy....and Also JAY SEAN sexy sexy new hot single! As Russel Brand would say, u betta watch out!

The MADNESS THAT IS BRITNEY
By now its not new news that the Britster lost her marbles, aldoe MY humble self was aware of this when she started flashin her wotsits to all who cared to peer below. AND of course when she did this................................................. 
What is fascinating doe is how she apparently is living with a paparrazo who she picked up when making a quick getaway.
K-Fed now looks like the responsible one! You know there a problem when some1 like Kevin is granted sole custody of children. But cashing in on the situation seems to be evryone's concern and Even Dr.Phill rushed for his piece of the cake:

One thing doe, KYLIE its soo obvious you ripped off Madonna Holiday but dont worry I wunt tell her,shez too busy tryna look 18 and save African Babies(I'm African btw so dont even trip!lol!) to notice so your covered girl!
Ok i KNOW this is a bad picture but shez got everything and I have nuffink! Lol plus this is when I fell in love with Kylie the whole Jason Donavon and Kylie Neighbours storyline, and I loved 'especially for you', awwh they were soooo cute! I should probably mention shez a cancer survivor too but You guys already new that? Right

BRICK AND LACE
Yeah i'm on fire 2nite, 2 post in 1day! don't get it twisted this is just a taster for the week....BRICK AND LACE the hottest export from Jamaica! My twin from another mother, Music Child 01 returning to duty with no excuse as to why I abandoned this blog,but it 2008 and music is word! WORD!
Totally feeling Keyshia Cole even doe her sense of style is sometimes misguided and God knows what the dye has done to her hair but shez still pretty hot and in many ways reminds me of ME! When Keyshia was 21 she found her boyfriend cheating and kicking him out and instead of crying like other chicks she birth an album, THE WAY IT IS.
Totally heart wrenching and also abit confusing, TWIS had 3massive hits, I changed my mind produced by Yezzy and he also ft in the Video, I just want it to be over produced by Krucial Keys- Yup Alicia Keys and I should have cheated. Any normal girl has been tru most of Keyshia emotions but the problem with hers is that it changes from song to song,lol!
Her new album is equally as good, but shez still on the same topic, heart wrenching matters,lol! That girl should find a good man ask MJB she soo happy now.
